Mark Crouser
Background
Mark Crouser has been with CMA in the Kansas City office since July 2009, with a focus on program development and media relations for clients in the food and agriculture industries. He has worked largely for CMA client The Center for Food Integrity, leading development of the Farmers Feed US communications platform.
Prior to CMA, Mark worked for Fleishman-Hillard, where he was responsible for a variety of agribusiness, food system, and consumer products clients in both their Kansas City and Dallas offices. His work has been recognized at both regional and national levels by the Public Relations Society of America and the National Agriculture Marketing Association.
Mark holds both a Bachelor and a Master of Science in Journalism and Mass Communications from Kansas State University. In his free time, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife Mariah, and their son, Crosby. And when he’s not cheering on his Wildcats, Chiefs, and Royals, he spends time in the kitchen cooking.
Meet Mark
If you could have a room full of any one thing, what would it be?
Probably blue cheese. I love it as a snack, on burgers, salads, and even French fries. And I hear that as it ages, there are actually rooms full of the stuff, so it’s not that far-fetched.
What do you do to recharge your batteries?
I’m a beer guy. Whether visiting a local brewery, a beer tasting, or enjoying it from the fridge, I love drinking a well-brewed beer.
What are some of your favorite links on the web?
I’m a pretty heavy news and views consumer, visiting Wired.com, Slate.com, TheAtlantic.com, and NYTimes.com. To help keep me up to date in my beer hobby, I also spend time on BeerAdvocate.com.
