Meet Allyson

What did you want to be when you were growing up?

Air traffic controller.

Biggest pet peeve?

People who use words like awesome, phenomenal, “to die for”, fantastic.  Nothing is that great!  It can be good, pretty good, or really good.  Phenomenal?  Awesome?   I’ve never seen anything that merited so much excitement.

What’s your claim to fame?

I won first place in the skeet-shooting contest when I was in 5th grade (yes, it was a class activity; firearms were acceptable back then).

Tell us about your family.

I am the only child of a farm family in Eastern North Carolina.  I married Eric Perry, from Ohio (Yankee that he was), and we have one child, a son, James Thomas, named after both grandfathers.
